I bought mine early last year from QVC (they came from T&M). There
were 4 but one didn't wake up. I habitually record any TV programme
from which I buy something "in case" and I've just played the
recording of the presentation of the Hibiscus. Clear statements -
"tough as old boots"
"can be grown in the ground or in tubs"
"no need to bring in in winter"
"they'll grow three feet tall this year and more next year"
"you'll have up to 60 dinner plate size flowers this year and up to
100 next year"

In the UK, there is no law in lying through your teeth in an
advertisement, provided that you do not claim a medical benefit.
Your victims have no comeback, either, PROVIDED that you keep the
advertisement separate from any information supplied as part of
the sale.

Admittedly all "grey" stuff, but I have had "failures to perform
properly" in the past, one with QVC, which I reported about 9 months
after purchase and they refunded my money, and one with another
company, reported the next year when I received replacement plants. So
it never hurts to try.
