corrected potassium sulfate additions.Blue green algae sheets are from

filtration, with high unutilized phosphates.Beard algae or green floss
algae
indicate possible changes in iron or light are needed. The green spot
algae
seen on glass is unavoidable and indicates that maintenance is needed.

Dosing Poor Mans Dosing Drops (Liquidoser) along with a weekly addition
on
a
micronutrient formula will be a much better bet.It is better start with
a
tank full of healthy plants as well, but not entirely essential. When I
moved I kept a bucket of clippings for 2 weeks with out any losses.

So keep the following conditions up with 25% weekly water changes for
two
months and see what happens-
alkalinity - 4 kH
hardness - 4 kH
temperature - 75F
Carbon Dioxide - 15 ppm on pH controller with probe in sump - 100%
essential (for me)
PMDD - 1ml /10 gallons initially.

I literally clip plants, wipe the spots off the front glass and change
30%
of the water, readjust kH if necessary, add 1/4 teaspoon of potassium
sulfate and am done for two weeks, except feedings with this set up. I
do
get beard algae (which I like) and green spots at different rates.
