It is great stuff for wood - but be careful when using it as any cloths
soaked in it can spontaneously combust if left to dry out......

I keep testing that but it hasn't happened yet.

Have you considered using WPC decking instead of wood as your decking material? There is no need for treatment or maintenance and it has a 50 year plus life span.
