The latest Windows Live Mail does that although this being a non-binary
Newsgroup you can't attach photos. For photos I use Flickr and simply post
a link.
Can't stand web based forums etc. myself. Much too cumbersome in most
cases.

One advantage of them being cumbersome is that they are not used as a
'public email facility' by the members with 'personal chat'. ... :-((
