Hi David

Make sure the seeds are a light brown colour before planting. I would recommend nicking and soaking the seed overnight in warm water before sowing with compost (about 3cm deep).

You've got a long wait ahead of you if you decide to go this route - you may not see a flower for 10 - 15 years, so the more common method is to propagate a stem.
