At that height you won't be able to move it, it won't look good if you try to prune it. So it's a question of whether you're going to cut it down or not. Questions to ask to help you decide are what sort of soil you are on, is there any evidence of damage to house or drains, are you on a level site or a slope (ie where are the main roots compared to your foundations), how old is the house - does it pre-date the tree, what is the probability of "heave" - the effect of removing a tree which has been taking all the water out of the soil, so that now it's gone, the water in the soil causes it to swell and potentially causes movement in nearby buildings.
