Default Poor fruit year?

Last year was an excellent year for fruit, in particular damsons and
pears. This year there are no signs of damsons and the pears are very
sparse, in fat it looks like a Norway year, null ponce. Is it general or
just here? I suspect the frosts during blossom time was the main culprit.

Seem to have a reasonable crop of damsons coming, but the plums don't look
good here in Leics.
Can't get to look at the apple trees in the orchard for nettles, I need a
petrol strimmer. Or a strong gardener.
It all got a bit out of control with a broken shoulder followed by a broken
ankle. And I don't have any geese now, which were superb at nibbling off
anything that came up in the orchard.
I really miss having geese.
