For "domestic" use in the retail chain. Last I heard you could still get
real creosote for "commercial" use from farm suppliers etc. That may have
changed of course. B-(


I thought there was a full an on it as I was reading an article the
other week in which fruit growers were bemoaning the ban on creosote and
wondering what they could treat the poles they use for crop support
with, as creosote gave them a life of up to 40 years where as other
chemicals protected for less than 10 years.
