Default Nodding violets -disease

Hi
I have a few hanging pots with these beautiful plants.
I clip them back & take cuttings regulary to ensure that they are at their
best.
But despite all of my care they eventually develop some leaves that get a
yellowish discolorisation in the middle of the leaves which seems to spread
fairly fast & if left the whole pot is infected.
Does anyone know why this happens & what causes it & how if any to fix it?
Thanks in advance
P

in my experience, the leaves go yellow with too much direct sun they
seem to like lots of strong, but indirect light best, ie dont do well with
direct sunlight

Here is 2 cents worth from a lurker
that worked for me

One of my best baskets has a nodding violet which is in its second year of
hanging on my porch
in Melbourne which gets the full afternoon sun. .
We bought the plant as one of those sad unloved $2 mark downs that are
hidden at the back of BunningsNursery
and it had problem with yellow blotchy leaves when we first bought it, and I
just thought a little TLCwould cure it.

Not being a gardener I had no idea what caused this, but it spoiled the
lookof the plant, so in my innocence my answer was just to nip off all the
offending leaves
which also tidied the plant up. I'm pleased to report they have never come
back and it is a full lush plant covered with violets.

However the markings also show on all older leaves of the many cuttings I
have taken,
but I just removed them also. What I remove is all the blotched leaves
except for the new growth which doesn't show any.

I wonder if it is a lack of water that could cause it??
My husband is an avid waterer and does all his hanging baskets daily
[sometimes twice if its over 30]
