Default chymaecyparis question

hi
which is the best time for grafting a
chamaecyparis ? from spring to autumn as all
cupressus ?
it is an old plant of about 20 yars old or more
already made as bonsai and needs some branches
in some places

Springtime is best. You will then have plenty of time for the graft to
"take" before the following fall frost.
