PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE THIS MESSAGE. While you can of course re-subscribe
to the list, it is important for you to report this problem to your mail
administrator so that it can be solved. This problem is not specific to
the BONSAI list, and also affects your private mail. This means that YOU
HAVE PROBABLY LOST SOME PRIVATE MAIL AS WELL. Anyone trying to write to
you during the same time frame will probably have received the same
errors for the same reason. The BONSAI list is but one of the many people
who may have tried to write to you while your mail system was
malfunctioning.

DO NOT LET TECHNICAL PEOPLE CONVINCE YOU THAT THIS IS NORMAL. It is never
normal for a mail system to claim that a valid, working account does not
exist, just as it would not be normal for the post office to return some
of your mail with "addressee unknown" when the address was written
correctly. It is true that some mail systems are less reliable than
others, and your technical people may be doing the best they can with the
tools they have. But, ultimately, the level of service that you are
receiving is the result of a business decision, and not something due to
a universal technical limitation that one can only accept. Reliable mail
systems do exist, and it is ultimately up to you to decide whether this
level of service is acceptable or not.

I suspect that's the email-to-news gateway between the IBC mailing list and
this newsgroup. A temporary(?) glitch caused the list server to
unsubscribe the gateway, so now it's no longer relaying messages from the
list to the newsgroup.

I took a look at the mailing list archives on the IBC web site. The list
is still active, and they're still receiving messages that are posted to
the newsgroup; their messages just aren't getting back to the newsgroup.
(Not on my news server, anyway.) It's been like that since October 30th,
when the removal notice was posted -- we're only seeing messages posted
directly to the newsgroup.

TO THE MAILING LIST ADMINISTRATOR: Could you please try resubscribing the
above gateway address? If it was a temporary glitch in the Newsguy mail
server, it may have been fixed by now.

If anyone knows how the the gateway got set up in the first place, or knows
who to talk to at Newsguy, could you please investigate? I checked the
Newsguy web site, but didn't see anything about email gateways.

I wrote few days ango and Jim answered all was
ok and the problem was here on my side of the pond..
I thought maybe I was erased from the mailgrop
even dreamed about last night !
apparently I am not the only one
or is Bonsai NG passing trought the SAD
syndrome as most of ng I am following ?
