Gingko Flame Style
Randi wrote: I have many books that address techniques to follow when developing trees into all the various but most common styles. I want to develop an old gingko stump into the older "flame" style for lack of a better description. Is anyone aware of any books that address this style development? Thanks - Randi Sharp; z7 Richmond VA Hi Randi, You REALLY need to put your questions in a New Post, or at least alter the subject line, I marked this 'as read' without really reading it, but then as I glanced up at it to my surprise is wasn't about Star Chat. The style your asking about is really done because it is the natural way ginkgo want to grow, and they don't manipulate well into other forms. Because of that most of the books I've seen only discuss the style briefly rather than go into an in depth 'how to'. I can find no direct instructions on this in my admittedly small library. Hope someone else can guide you. Regards, Shelly Hurd Central CA - Sunset Zone 8-USDA Zone 9 |
