[IBC] Ginkgo Biloba
Hello,
short question: does anyone know how many percent of the seeds result in male and how many percent of the seeds result in female trees? I have three cuttings which are likely to be male and two plants that seem to be grown from seeds, where I cannot tell what gender they are... Bjoern The obvious answer is 50-50. I have a friend with a female ginkgo tree, and I'll ask him to confirm that. This friend gave me a ginkgo seed 12 years ago. I just showed him a jpg of the bonsai that resulted from that seed; he says he's going to try himself! -- Nina Shishkoff Frederick, MD ************************************************** ****************************** ++++Sponsored, in part, by Evergreen Gardenworks++++ ************************************************** ****************************** -- The IBC HOME PAGE & FAQ: http://www.internetbonsaiclub.org/ -- +++++ Questions?
