[IBC] Ginkgo Biloba seedlings
I've got 3 seedlings sitting in my window, that just germinated a few
weeks ago. I've kept them inside because it has gotten into the 30's a few nights, and I was unsure as to whether the young seedlings would take well to this sort of temperature. Am I doing more harm than good here? Possibly. They thrive from zone 3-8 and even to 9 (along the Florida coast) (that's Minnesota to South Georgia and north Florida). So, unless you're talking 30 below zero, they'll love being outside. Jim Lewis - - Tallahassee, FL - Nature encourages no looseness, pardons no errors. Dimitrois,
Here in the central valley, it gets to be in the 105+F. range (40+C) for weeks on end. My ginkgo's have no problem with the heat as long as I don't let them dry out. Afternoon shade helps too. Regards, Shelly Hurd - Central CA - Sunset Zone 8-USDA Zone 9 SNIP However, I have started worrying for the amount of full sunshine they receive, because the Spring sun here in Greece can get quite hot at times. Any tips-advice on Ginkgo seedlings would be greatly appreciated. ************************************************** ****************************** ++++Sponsored, in part, by Gregory Brenden++++ ************************************************** ****************************** -- The IBC HOME PAGE & FAQ: http://www.internetbonsaiclub.org/ -- +++++ Questions?
