Default [IBC] NEED YOUR ADVISE

"hardiness" and "in the house" don't go together. When a plant is inside,
it is subject to low humidity ( which most plants don't like) and relatively
high temps. ( which most plants don't like). For these reasons, the best
you can hope for is a plant which tolerates (note: not enjoys) these
features. In addition, you'll want one
which also tolerates low light. You say in your message that your house has
both direct and indirect light. That's fine, but your tree would still not
be getting as much light as if it were outside. So the trees available for
inside growing are limited. The two most popular ones are ficus and
schefflera. Neither is really a tree, but both can be fooled into thinking
they are. Which ever you choose, find a spot for them with the most light,
the coolest temp. and the highest humidity.

What would you suggest would be the hardiest type of tree for year around

in the
house? It would be in a well lit room with both direct and indirect

sunlight.

Thanks
Thanks,

Arty
