Default [IBC] Tree of a thousand stars

Hi I have recently been taking cuttings from a healthy (tree of
a thousand
stars )forgive me for not giving you the Latin name.

It is Serissa foetida (foetida because the tree stinks when cut).

I have numerous cuttings and decided to try and grow one over a

rock .Took
the well rooted cutting placed it over the rock covered it with

a mass of
mud made up of peat and loam the roots were draped over the

rock reaching
down to the pot below. which contained the soil that I usually

use for
repotting.I covered the roots with Sphagnum Moss and covered

the moss with
plastic film.(watered well )I was told to leave it for 12

months ,and just
to prune it .
This tree has shown no sign of dying just a few small leaves

turning yellow
am I on the right track to grow a successful tree over rock?I

do nor worry
if I loose this tree as the cutting that I have taken are vast

Sounds like you're doing fine. Water "normally." Depending on
where you live, you'll want the tree to be indoors soon. Inside,
keep a close eye on the soil and only water when it feels dry. A
stick kept inserted in the soil and withdrawn to feel for
dampness every morning is a good idea.

Also, inside, keep an eye out for bugs -- usually aphids or white
flies. Use an insecticidal soap at their first appearance.
