Help!! Newbie needs advice.

Hi everyone.
My girlfriend gave me a bonsai tree called a "Serissa" for my
birthday. Its 18 years old and beautiful (the tree, not my girlfriend
although she is beautiful).
I have always wanted a bonsai tree but now I have one I don't know how
to look after it. If anyone here cares to offer any advice I would be
very grateful as I am a complete novice.
