[IBC] winter fertilizing
I have always had problems with fertilizing. I never know which
fertilizer to use. For now, i need to know how I should fertilize my bonsai during the winter. I started using a "Blossom and Root Builder" 0-10-10 fertilizer last week. Is this right? Should I be using anything else? Thanks for the help. From, Colin Horn Orinda, CA That ought to work, but if you have an early spring (Feb or March) in California (I don't know where Orinda is), you might want to start adding a little N in January. Once a month is the max times you want to fertilize outdoor trees in the winter. I don't fertilize at all from December through January. Then I start with a 20-20-20 in mid-to-late February.
