Default [IBC] back & running

Thanks a bunch, Shelly, for bringing us back to life.
Now here's a cheerful story for my bonsai family.
I spent 2 days this week watching Jack Sustic do his thing.
( He's the curator of the National Collection in Washington).
Jack is a quiet but accomplished gentleman. On Monday, he held forth at the Long Island Bonsai Society, working on a Hinoki cypress. It turned out to be a very pleasing twin trunk, and was won by our corresponding sec'y, Dee Fleck.
On Tuesday, he moved on to Eastern Suffolk B.S. and worked on a bristlecone pine (P.Aristata). The tree turned out to be a fine informal upright, and was won by Mr. Nelson, a leading member of Eastern Suffolk. This meeting was the kick-off attempt by Ea
stern Suffolk to bring the three local clubs closer together. They would like to have an annual jamboree in which all three clubs participate. Tom Regan, club program chair, hosted the event with the use of his home for the meeting, including a delicio
us supper and all the beer we could drink. I would say he got the event off with flying colors.
Marty

Sounds like you had a couple of great days, Marty.
