I have lived in Florida all of my 61+ years and have never felt the need to leave my home. [IBC] evacuations?

Tropical Storm Bonnie, in the Gulf of Mexico, will hit the coast about 60 miles southwest of us tomorrow morning, though we don't expect it to be too bad. It MAY get to hurricane strength just before landfall, but should fall apart once it is all over land. 40 mph winds and LOTS of rain is all we have to look for. Charlie, on the other hand, is likely to be quite a bit stronger when it comes ashore neat Ft. Myers on Friday. Then it is supposed to run up the center of the state, getting weaker, before exiting into the Atlantic somewhere near St. Augustine. (Of course that's a long time away -- in hurricane terms -- so who knows?) Too bad the third storm of the year wasn't named Clyde, rather than Charlie. Jim Lewis - - Tallahassee, FL - Only where people have learned to appreciate and cherish the landscape and its living cover will they treat it with the care and respect it should have - Paul Bigelow Sears. ************************************************** ****************************** ++++Sponsored, in part, by Evergreen Gardenworks++++ ************************************************** ****************************** -- The IBC HOME PAGE & FAQ: http://www.internetbonsaiclub.org/ -- +++++ Questions?
