[IBC] Ficus heteropodia
Ficus heteropodia
I took the wire off of the tree that I wired over Memorial Day weekend at the BSF convention (end of May) This is an interesting species. The figs grow from small branches on the trunk and larger branches. The leaves are rather large, but seem to reduce with judicious tip pruning. Jerry Meislik does mention it in his Ficus book, but only comments that it is suitable for bonsai and mentions the fruiting habits. I think it might be from Indonesia. Any comments from the group.
