Default [IBC] Washington, DC Trip (Slightly OT)

Carla and I will be doing some quick traveling the next few weeks.

For Thanksgiving we are going to Ft. Lauderdale to see our daughter and her
family. Down on Thursday and back on Saturday. (probably) May get to a few
Bonsai places I know, but will visit Sawgrass Mills for the Day After Thanksgiving
madness at 7 AM.

On Dec. 2 we fly to DC for a few days. (The short trip is required because
the daughter from above will come up to keep the house in order.) We don't
arrive until late Thursday night/Friday morning and leave Sunday morning. I would
love to visit the National Arboretum Bonsai Exhibit but I don't know if I will
have time.
We are staying at the Holiday Inn Capitol near the Air and Space Museum
We want to get to the National Cathedral and though about one of those tours
where you can get on and off all day. Maybe this for Friday and then just walk
the Mall on Saturday.

Any suggestions for brief stops as part of either trip will be appreciated.

My last trip to DC was in the early 1960's when I was stationed at Quantico,
VA. That last trip I stayed in the Soldiers, Sailors, Marines and Airman's
Club near the train station.

Hi Billy,

The problem is lack of transportation between the Hair & Face Museum (what
we called it when we were kids!) and the Arboretum. As the date approaches
give me an email; I'd be happy to give you and yours a lift over there (say
on Saturday?) for a tour. The bonsai museum is open 10:00 am.
