Raft Question
Hi again
Have just been looking at some books about different styles and was looking at Raft style,Doesnt say what happens to the original tree?Does it die or can you cut the original trunk along side each tree Can someone please help again Thanks in advance Grid. |

Not sure you understand the raft style. The raft IS the original tree. All you do is lay a tree on its side, wire the appropriate branches up to become new trunks, then, over the years, reduce the rootball that (probably) forms a big lump at one end of the pot (and hope that new roots sprout along the trunk that is lying down in the pot half covered with soil).
