Default [IBC] Bonsai philosophy

I live in Park Forest, IL, 60466, USA.

Hehehe, I used to live and work in Forest Park, and we had a satelite office
in Park Forest. Used to confuse people no end

If anyone can find a club closer than what I've been able to find - ca.

30+ miles away from me

I think your best bet is the Club at the Chicago Botanical Society. Bit of
a way from Park Forest, but if you get to the club every other month, you'll
still benefit

To my wonderfully patient friend who was not able to figure out my email
address, it is "munged" to cut down on spambots. Just remove "nospm."
Many people do that. Maybe you should too.

This is actually considered very bad 'netiquette. I personally never bother
responding personally to people who scramble their email address. shrug

There's a half decent bonsai store in the Chicago area as well, Yasukunai.
Worth dropping by if you're in their area. http://www.yasukunai.com/

The Prairie State Bonsai Society Meets in Glen Ellyn, IL.

Meetings are 7:30 PM on the 1st Wednesday of each month, February to December at the College of DuPage (COD), Glen Ellyn, IL.

Or, the Midwest Bonsai Society, which meets at the Chicago Botanic Gardens at 7:30 pm on the 1st Monday of each month. (July meeting has already taken place since the first Monday is July 4.) The next meeting is August 1. There is also the big Annual Show August 19, 20, and 21. Plenty of workshops and exhibitions.

I'll check out the Chicago Botanical Society. Thanks.

By the way, my Fukien Tea Tiny Leaf is really developing yellow leaves
the past few days, and I'm concerned. Could it be from lack of water?
It's been "living" on my front porch, direct sunlight in morning for a
few hours, shade for most of the day.

BTW, I'm also on our Village board. We really don't like it when
potential developers come in and make that mistake, although we understand.

Nice people in Forest Park. I've met a few in village government.

Well, it's recommended on another newsgroup I frequent. I'm not looking
for email replies here. It's hard to please everyone.
