I'm doing some research about real and virtual clubs/communities of growers of fruit and veg for a university project. I'd be really grateful if you could let me know of any clubs/societies/associations for edible gardening enthusiasts.

The project looks into how many enthusiasts there are in the UK compared to other countries and how the growers keep in touch with each other and share tips and advice and how they use competitions as a way of socialising.

I'd be really grateful for any pointers.
