Unhappy peppers

i planted pepper seeds indoors about 5 or 6 weeks ago they are now about 8 to 10 inches tall but the stalks are far too skinny for them to stand up to even the slightest breeze any advice for a novice please

am a novice too, however i got some 3 foot canes and tie my chillis and pepper plants to those for support.

some of my chillis are skinny and weak, others are nice thick stems and strong...... all have been grown in the same compost and in the same place so treated the same, i just hope they will fill out in their own time.
