Default why is my water lilly red

i recently aquired a very large pot containing a water lilly that grew in the last month and is massive but is red is this just a different type

any info and a name for the plant would be great thanks

There are literally hundreds of water lilly hybrid species for ponds.
Some are red, most have green leaves and different colored flowers
