Default identify fern

This neat little fern is at a house I am renting. It does well with no care
what is it? Thanks.

maybe a Japanese Painted Fern
How cold does it get where you are?

Nope that's not it. I am in zone 8b theoretically. It does get below
freezing but not by much usually. I did see this fern mixed with other
plants in some arrangement at a store but of course had no name with it.
