Nice pic.

So is that a real Heron or a plastic one to frighten off the real ones?

Thanks, though pity about the constant rain.

It's a real one, close up below.

Lovely, always think they look so smart, just need a Top Hat to round it
off.

Neat, just hop on the chunnel train and you are there in an hour or
so. I love Paris. Or at least I did the few times I was there.

And what a regal bird it is. That is what I thought it was in your
lovely post of the garden.

Yes the Eurostar is a great way to get to Paris.
I'd just like to see Paris when the sun is shining, I've been there 2 years
in a row and it rained both times I was there, for the whole time I was
there.

I'd prefer to drive but would take the train if it was a short stay.
Paris is so expensive anyway and with the Euro rate at this time France is
no longer cheap.

I found London very expensive, Paris not quite so.
I had to tell my self to just hand over the money and to stop mentally
converting pounds/Euros to dollars and being horrified. :-)

From my posts you may remember we just had a week or so in SW France, and we
found things much more expensive than the UK due to the rate of exchange.
Even our friends that live over there say prices have gone up recently.
However London is a law unto itself and is always expensive, we try to avoid
the place.
Our £ has taken quite a hit compared with the Euro or US $. It's why the
French now come over here to do shopping whereas it's traditionally been the
other way round.
