Default Wildflower meadow and pond

The last picture from our visit to an NGS open garden at Smalley in Derbyshire this afternoon. Fed and watered with tea and cake we decided to walk across the sumptuous wildflower meadow that the owner has developed, through a young mixed wood and down the grassy slope to this pond. I guess you would call this the ultimate wildlife garden, Swallows, Warblers, Buzzards, Dragonflies in abundance -some unusual species that I need to look up to ID and a very subtlety managed meadow. Cracking afternoon only 5 miles from home.
