This is a small bush in my backyard, along the fence. I've
never seen it there before, so it was probably "planted"
by a passing bird. No other plants that I know of in the
neighborhood that look like this one. Does anyone know
what it is?

I'm in central Texas.

It looks a bit like a Barbados Cherry, but the leaf color
throws me off.
