Default Outstanding Horticultural Books for Florida Gardeners

MAXWELLS FLORIDA
Outstanding Horticultural Books
http://home.comcast.net/~maxwellsflorida/index.htm

Publisher Betty M. Maxwell is pleased to announce that the series of
Florida gardening books authored by her late husband Lewis S. Maxwell
is now available for purchase via the Internet.

Beginning in 1959, professional entomologist and plant pathologist
Lewis S. Maxwell penned a highly successful and classic series of
Florida horticultural handbooks edited by his biologist wife, Betty M.
Maxwell. Teamed together, the couple was also well known for
publishing the long-running bi-monthly Florida Garden Guide=A9, a
mainstay of the gardening community which was made available to
customers complimentarily by local nurseries and other horticulture
related businesses, and which enjoyed more than 33 years of continuous
publication.

In print since the early 1960s, the books have sold well over 800,000
copies. These mainstays are used as texts for educational purposes
throughout Florida and are especially helpful to new home owners and
other newcomers to Florida gardening as well as to those maintaining
second homes in Florida. Individually or as a set, the handbooks make
marvelous gifts.

The titles available in the series include:

FLORIDA FLOWERS: Plants and Bulbs

FLORIDA FRUIT: Fresh Fruit for the Home, How to Choose and Grow Them
