Opinions Please... Johh Deere 425 vs. Simplicity Legacy
Hi,
Well... I've got a chance to buy: a Simplicity Legacy (50 hours with 25 hp Kohler air cooled engine), about 1.5 years old with tiller, 60" hydraulic blade and 60" mower with about a year's warranty left or: a 1995 John Deere 425 (250 hours with 25 hp Kawasaki liquid cooled engine) with 54" mower and tiller. Both come with 0 category 3 pt. hitch. They're about the same price... opinions? Simplicity isn't a big name here in Canada like John Deere, but I've heard good things about them. Best regards, Andrew Huculak |

The old Simplicitywas outstanding. The company was bought by Allis Chalmers and the brand languished for a few years. With the break -up of the Allis Chamers/ Deutz-Fahr group. Some group boulght the rights to use the Simplicity brand, I have not seen one made this group so have no idea as to its quality. Acording to their web site http://www.simplicitymfg.com/ the new ownership is connected to the original company. They seem to specialize in high end machines |
