Default Plant Sale Raleigh NC April 11-13

The Raleigh Garden Club will hold its Annual Plant Sale at the N. C. State
Fairgrounds, April 11-13, 2003. From Acanthus to Zephyranthes, you'll find
perennials of all shapes, colors, fragrances and sizes. Heirloom plants your
grandmother grew, butterfly and hummingbird favorites, shade lovers, sun
worshippers, moisture seekers, and drought-tolerant tough guys can all be found
at the Raleigh Garden Club sale. Club members who are knowledgeable about
gardening in this area will be on hand to help with your selections. Proceeds
from the sale fund a horticultural scholarship at N. C. State University and
other civic improvement activities of the Raleigh Garden Club.

Other groups hosting plant sales at the Fairgrounds that weekend include
Gardeners of Wake County (azaleas); the Pilot Club of Raleigh (geraniums); and
the Wake County 4-H Club (camellias and rhododendrons.)

Hours are 8 am until 6 pm on Friday, April 11 and Saturday, April 12. On
Sunday, April 13, sales will be from noon until 5 pm. The sale will be located
near the Flower House in the State Fairground Gardens area which can be reached
by entering Gate 6 on Youth Center Road.
