Default Redwood Soil Conditioner (Big R)

I have purchased a product that is sold as a soil conditioner, but
most of the description on usage pertains to mulch. I'm assuming that
the humus indicated in the ingredients pertains to some sort of
organic compost, but am unsure. Does anyone have any experience with
tilling clay soils with the redwood soil conditioner?
