I've seen six (6) bees all year..when I used to see six in one minute.

Agree on the wild and bumble bees..a lot more of them around.

I have crepe myrtle trees in bloom and there are literally hundreds of
bumble bees dancing from bloom to bloom, and not a honey bee among
them.

It's the rapture. No creature works so ceaselessly and selflessly as
the honeybee, literally working themselves to death for not their own
reward; not only the reward of the hive; but literally the reward of
all life on earth. so naturally, they're all going to be called to
heaven.

Reminds me of an old Science-fiction story:
Our Sun is about to go nova, but a fleet of UFOs appear, broadcasting that
they have come to rescue all the "admittedly inferior intellectually"
inhabitants of Earth. Then one by one, all the calculators and computers get
beamed up.

Don't have a lot of them but they are here, with assorted bumble bees
and wasps, working the violets. Hope the cucurbits flower while they are
still around.

Just keep plenty of assorted flowers blooming. Here, they even go nuts over
the marigolds. A butterfly bush is also a main attraction because it flowers
until frost.

I have plenty of flowers, but have mainly been seeing honey bees on the
grass heads. Go figure.

I've been looking around at the local bee population the past couple of
days. There are several plants flowering at present, including laurel,
blackberry, clover and some wild flowers. I found no honey bees and no
bumble bees anywhere, just some small (~3/8 inch) bees. This may be a
hangover from the warm temperatures in March, followed by a hard freeze
in early April, or, it might be some effect of local pesticide use.
We've had very dry conditions lately, but some rains in the past week.
I do recall seeing some bumble bees a few weeks ago, but zero yesterday
and today. I'll keep looking...
