What is this Bush?
What is this bush? I've searched through my tree book and looked online,
but haven't found anything to match. It's quite nice. The most striking thing is the way that the flower cluster grows out of the tip of the branch where you'd usually see a leaf on a branch of this type. The leaf edges are very smooth which ruled out a couple things that I thought it might be. http://www.phlaunt.com/jennysgarden/18218074.php |

Maybe border privet? (Oleaceae Ligustrum obtusifolium) Jenny take a look at these and see what you think: http://www.cnr.vt.edu/dendro/dendrol...eet.cfm?ID=150 http://www.hort.uconn.edu/plants/l/ligobt/ligobt1.html http://hcs.osu.edu/pocketgardener/so.../li_olium.html http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Li...m_obtusifolium -- Leon Fisk Grand Rapids MI/Zone 5b Remove no.spam for email |

I'm really happy about it being fragrant too, as our mock orange is about to poop out, just as these open up. http://www.hort.uconn.edu/plants/l/ligobt/ligobt1.html http://hcs.osu.edu/pocketgardener/so.../li_olium.html http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Li...m_obtusifolium |

Same question I've been asking for the last 6 1/2 years.

Charlie, it seems really a shame to pass up a straight line this obvious. -- Billy Coloribus gustibus non disputatum (mostly) |
