Default Viability of Begonia corms

Hello.

I wonder how I tell whether my corms are still viable. One or two have started to sprout, but most are not showing any early growth.

Probably a very un-green-fingered question, but should I wait to see whether this materialises before planting?

Many thanks

Neil
