Red face What is this mini tree

I have been asked to prune a miniature tree i have know idea what it is . sorry its a bit up in the air but i will try to explain. Its about 3 foot high and hangs like a willow but it has dark green broad leaves and the coverage is complete. The problem is if i was to prune it off the grass its going to look empty.sorry for the worst description in the world but can you help thank you

Say you pruned it, and don't.

Say you pruned it, and don't.
cheers for that but what type of tree is it and she wants it pruning tomorrow i think she will notice if i dont as it is only 3 foot high
