Default Flower Companions for Blueberries

Since I'll be cutting back my blueberries to nothing more than twigs
for the next year or two, I thought I'd plant a few flowers in with
them in their half barrel containers. What flowers would do well in
the acidic soil that blueberries require? I'd probably go with
annuals, as I'll eventually yank 'em once the blueberries have grown
into attractive plants themselves.
