Default Best flowers for clay soil fuul sun

Morning glory comes to mind. The stuff is prolific and easy to grow.
Nasturtiums would also be nice.

I'm in NM where theres a lot of clay and sand in the soil, and of course sun and
heat. I did Nasturtiums last year but the heat was a bit much for them. They
like being under my rose bushes though. Marigolds do really well here, as in VERY
well, as do Asters, Cosmos and Zinnias. I've not done any vines - yet!
