My grandma found it growing like that, in the pot, when she moved into her new house.

I don't know how much she knows about plants and flowers, so it may be a very common variety for all I know, but it seems to have puzzled her and her neighbours so I promised I would try to find out!

The back of the leaves shimmer purple, if that helps at all.
