Default Growing Pole Beans with no Support

I've got all my pole snap bean trellises set up and ready to go but I still have a couple of dry pole beans that I would like to grow out this year (True Red Cranberry, Turkey Craw, Flagg). I am plum out of trellis space and not looking forward to erecting any more.

I've grown dry bush beans and half runners without support. What happens if I don't support a dry pole bean? I assume it just sprawls all over the place, which is fine by me as long as it still produces a reasonable harvest (I'm just trying to increase seed stock). I don't need to pick them since they will dry on the vine. Am I just being lazy or can I just plant them like dry bush beans and give them more space?
