Default What plants are suitable with Bug Hotel?

Hi guys,

I've recently bought a insect hotel from Bug Hotel - Handmade Homes For Snug Bugs

I purchased three of their Mini Bug Cubes, they're fab!

But now I'm interested in attracting some bees and other pollinators to my garden now so they'll live in them.

Could anyone suggest some suitable plants that will attract bees etc?

thank you!

find a growing guide for your location and
pick the plants that bloom earliest, later,
and keep on selecting a mix of plants that
will suit your light and space up until either
it freezes or your cycle starts all over again.

around here, we have an active growing season
from February to October with frosts up until
mid-May and starting up again in mid-September.

we have full sun, plenty of space, poor soil
in some locations.

hardy plants like mint, thyme, oregano have
always done well for us almost any place planted.
invasives if left to run, in spots i just turn
them under and overplant what else i want in
the garden.

many additional plants are prolific in flowering
and attracting insects (some would also be considered
invasives):

queen-annes-lace, dandelion, chickory, plantains,
buckwheat, alfalfa, trefoil, clovers, dill, fennel,
chives, crocus, hollyhocks, tulips, daffodils, lillies,
clematis, honeysuckle, blueberries, strawberries,
beans, daisies, coneflowers, yarrows, day lillies,
alliums, butterfly weed, milkweed, butterfly bush, ...

other flowering trees may be good too, i don't
do much with them here.
