Default Will Lavender survive upstate New York?

Question, anyone: can lavender survive in a cold region? Cultivars recommended?
Thanx

Absolutely YES. Try Munstead or Hidcote Blue. Both have been growing for me
in Rochester for many years. Just make sure you plant them where they will
remain snow-covered until spring, if possible. Better than a place near the
foundation of the house where the house's warmth might repeatedly melt snow
away.
