Free logs of New Orleans Resurrection Fern
....if you get there before the City does. At the corner of Coliseum and
Fourth around 3:30 PM today (Thus.) a huge oak branch, covered with resurrection fern, had fallen in the middle of the road. If I had a pickup and a chain saw I know what I'd do--just what a friend did for me and a few other people, not least himself: sawed it up into 5 or 6 foot lengths and took them home to various gardens. The resurrection fern, as long as you leave it on the tree, will continue to "die" and resurrect without any extra watering, according to the weather. It makes a nice background for other plants/conversation piece. Any people who get here simultaneously, be nice and share. zemedelec |
