Hydrangea Problem
My Hydrangea had brown edges on the leaves so I applied Immunox combo
systemic pesticide & fungicide...Now it looks worse! Here in Minnesota fungus is SOP in late summer but I never had it resist a fungicide. Anyone else had experience with Immunox and Hydrangeas? I hope I didn't kill it! Ron H. DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL! Send Email to RNHARSH at attbi.com of course you'll have to put it together correctly. Hydrangea Problem
The problem is that you sprayed a product on your hydrangea without knowing
what was wrong with it. Are your hydrangeas sited in full sun? If they are, they are probably just scortched a bit from too much sun. Some pesticides can cause damage to certain plants. There should be information on the label telling you what plants it should not be applied to. I dont want to sound like a jerk, but you really should gather more information about a problem before you apply any sort of chemical to your plants. You should also read the label thouroughly so you know how to properly apply it and for saftey reasons. If I felt like I was sick, I would go to the doctor and find out what was wrong with me, rather than raid the medicine cabinet and eat a bunch of pills. The same thing can be applied to the landscape, if you have a problem, take a sample to your local nursery and someone should be able to help you. I hope your hydrangea pulls through, but more than likely you just needed to water it. Toad |

Hydrangea Problem
Thanks for your comments. Actually I did talk to a local garden center and
they said that it was a combination of heat stress ( we've been in mid 90's for a couple of weeks) and a fungal attack. They recommended a fungucide. I selected the Immunox because I had it on hand ( use it on the roses where it works great). The label neither included nor excluded Hydrangea and it claimed to be usefull on many garden and flowering plants. It did caution to try it on one plant before treating everything but since I only have one Hydrangea..... Ron H. |
