mentioned to the plant specialist that these plants needed to be under the shade building in the nursery and they told me that when they contacted corporate headquarters with this, and that the "planogram" was inaccurate, he was told that "we know where we want the plants this year. Put them where we tell you, so that customers will see them and buy them and there won't be as many plants to throw out and in loss." Sadly this is the trend in large companies. It is the primary reason I quit my former job managing for a national chain. When customer service, common sense and long term planning go out the window for short term gain, everyone suffers, including the company. Lowes may gain a short term blip in sales but long term sales will decline as customers lose confidence in the company. -- McQualude |
