Given the heat and holler that Fahrenheit 9/11 has created, do you think
anyone will/could sue? Of course not. This film has been so effective,
it continues to resonate. You have to give Moore credit for having the
guts to take on substantial targets: General Motors, Gun Lobby, GOP/Bush.
His next project was recently announced as "Sicko" to focus in on the
American healthcare industry's treatment of mental patients.

That I'll look forward to seeing.

Your condolences for those who need Hollywood to filter their facts
is misplaced as it applies to Fahrenheit 9/11. It provided *new* facts:
information and footage which would not have been seen or discussed on national
television networks prior to this documentary film.

Sliight adendum: "American networks." Most the items that Michael
Moore included in his film made news at one time or another in the
Canadian media, some as regular news items and some as investigative
journalism pieces. Add www.cbc.ca to your outside o' US, alternate
news sources, along with http://www.guardian.co.uk/,
www.globeandmail.com and http://www.lemonde.fr/ (Le Monde, major Paris
french language daily). I went to see it opening night - nothing new
there, just all nicely gathered in one neat little package. I
really liked both the Democrats Abroad and Republicans Abroad being
out in force.

Nothing is forcing us to
agree with Michael Moore's point of view.

Nope. I cheerfully regard him as a court jester figure, who does an
execellent job of saying that the emperor's new suit is really his
birthday suit. Go, Michael, go!
