Grapes for Texas
I live in the Houston, TX area USDA zone 8b with summer heat and humidity. I
am looking for some white eating grapes to grow on an arbor in my backyard. I tried some grapes in the past without much luck, as grapes generally do not grow well in my area. I have read a bit and not found much as far as the best variety. I have found a few red grape varieties for my area but for my purposes I need white grapes. My local nursery has a lot of "white diamond" variety. I read that it is a grape for New York area. I know that the nurseries will sell you anything that you will buy so I thus far have not bought that one. Does anybody have any suggestions? Thanks. Larry |

Larry Go to the Winery below which is located near you in Santa Fe Texas near Dickinson, Texas. If you ask them, I think they can advise you of what will grow in your area. http://www.haakwine.com/ |
